FRESCO Dry BARF Complete Plus Lamb consists exclusively of pure muscle meat, offal and calcium bones from lamb as well as fresh fruit and vegetables and high quality oils.
Your dog is not only harmed by environmental influences, but increasingly also by the ingredients in the feed. The preservatives, additives and chemical residues often contained in them can be partly responsible for diseases such as tumors, kidney and liver damage, impairments in the musculoskeletal system, fertility disorders and allergies. Therefore we have decided to completely renounce any additives in our FRESCO Dry Bark Barf Food.
The manufacturing process of FRESCO Dried B.A.R.F. differs from all conventional "Premium" dried food. Instead of extruding the ingredients under high pressure and high temperatures (pressure cooker), they are elaborately air- and freeze-dried. All vital nutrients, which are directly contained in the original ingredients, are preserved by this new process. We use 4kg Complete Plus Fertigbarf for the production of 1kg dry barf, because the drying process almost completely removes the moisture.
FRESCO Dried Barf in comparison to this, relies exclusively on natural ingredients. In our food you will find only fresh meat, bones and offal, vegetables, fruit and selected oils.
Feeding recommendation
You do not have to soak FRESCO Trockenbarf in water, you can feed it dry. Of course your dog should always have enough fresh water available.
Our dry barf contains about 490 kcal/100g. As a guideline for the amount of food for normally active, non-neutered healthy dogs (no matter if male or female) we recommend per day:
- adult dogs: approx. 0,8 - 1% of the body weight
- smaller breeds (up to approx. 15 kg): approx. 1.5% of body weight
- Puppies, young dogs and lactating bitches: approx. 2-3 % of the current body weight
Important: Your dog needs only about half as much of our high-energy dry food, which does not contain any poorly digestible fillers such as cereals, rice, potatoes, etc., as of another extruded premium dog food (Wolf's Blood, Real Nature, Eukanuba, etc.). Therefore it is perfectly normal that your dog only defecates half as FRESCO Dry Bark Barf can be used and digested more completely. How can you determine the right daily amount of calories even more precisely? In the literature there is a formula for calculating the Resting Energy Requirements (RER), i.e. the energy consumption at rest or basal metabolic rate, for dogs between 2 and 45 kg.
However, the individual requirement can differ from the calculated values by up to 50% due to age, breed or activity. These are therefore only starting points for estimating the daily food quantity.
Since overweight is the main cause of illness due to excessive energy intake with too little exercise, we recommend that you constantly monitor your dog's weight and reduce the amount of food if he gains weight. Most importantly, you need to include the fed snacks/chews and rewards in the calculation. If you still have questions, you can always call our hotline.

What is in it and why?
Composition:
Fresh muscle meat from lamb (35%)
The dog needs proteins to build and maintain organs, muscles and the functioning of enzymes. Meat is a good source of protein because it contains all essential amino acids in the right ratio to each other and therefore has a high biological value. Furthermore, meat contains iron, zinc, selenium and B vitamins.
Fresh lamb offal (15%):
Lamb intestines are particularly rich in protein and contain a lot of sodium, vitamin B12 and biotin.
Fresh green lamb rumen (10%)
Lamb rumen is particularly high-quality, because it contains the already pre-digested green plants of the feed animals. The bacteria in the lamb rumen have already broken them down and converted them into high-quality protein. It has an important promoting effect on the dog's digestion.
Finely ground fresh lamb breast bone (8%)
Bones are part of every B.A.R.F. recipe. They contain important, natural calcium, iron, valuable fatty acids and enzymes.
Freeze-dried lamb liver (3%)
Lamb liver is particularly valuable because it contains a lot of iron and many vitamins (A, B 2, B 12, biotin, etc.) Due to the gentle freeze-drying process, heat-sensitive vitamins are preserved.
Carrots (10%) and beet (3%)
They contain many vitamins and minerals (especially potassium). They also contain saponins and flavonoids, which stimulate the appetite and aid digestion.
Fresh natural apples (4%) and pears (4%), directly from the farmer
Apples contain pectin, vitamin C, potassium, calcium, phosphorus, iron and sodium. Pears contain vitamin C, 4 vitamins B, lots of potassium, magnesium, calcium, phosphorus, zinc, copper, iron, iodine.
Blueberries (2%)
Mainly a source of manganese and copper, but also contains vitamin C, carotene, iron, potassium, sodium, vitamins of the B group and anthocyanins.
