What size of nose does my dog have?
To determine the correct size of the muzzle, you only need two measurements. The length of your dog’s nose and the circumference of your dog’s nose.
The nose length (
red) is measured on the top of the nose, the so-called back of the nose. It starts at the point where the muzzle is supposed to sit on the nose and measures up to the tip of the nose.
The circumference of the nose (
blue) is measured at the same place of the back of the nose as the length of the nose. However, one measures once around the whole muzzle of the dog. A soft measuring tape is recommended, as it should be well attached to the muzzle for a real result. Remember also with the nose length, that the nose tip of your dog should not stand at the end of the muzzle.
